The Regan Group To Execute A Grassroots Promotion For NBC’s Upcoming Series Grease: You’re The One That I Want
The Regan Group to Deploy a Street Team Initiative throughout the busy streets of New York City
(Los Angeles, CA) The Regan Group, an award-winning full service brand marketing and promotions agency, announces that it will saturate the streets of New York with Pink Ladies and T-bird look-a-likes from the hit musical Grease in an effort to help NBC generate tune-in for their new program Grease: You’re the One that I Want, premiering Sunday, January 7th at 8:00 PM/7C on NBC.
The new series has NBC searching for the next Sandy and Danny, a new talent competition series from the BBC Worldwide Productions. America will ultimately get to choose the two leads for a new Broadway production of Grease. Billy Bush (Access Hollywood) will host the talent competition series and will be joined by co-host United Kingdom TV personality and theatre star, Denise Van Outen.
The new production of Grease will open on Broadway in July 2007 and will be directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall (The Pajama Game), who will also be a judge on the TV series along with Jim Jacobs, the co-creator of Grease and renowned theatre producer David Ian.
The Pink Ladies and T-birds will hit the streets of New York City on January 5th and January 6th, 2007 creating buzz for the new show that will test American’s talent to be the next Sandy and Danny. These Brand Ambassadors will be in full Grease costume, encouraging consumers to be engaged in the “Grease Experience” by inviting them to sing-a-long and dance to some of the classic songs from the musical, such as “You’re The One That I Want” and “Summer Lovin’”. To support the street performances, Brand Ambassadors will be distributing Grease: You’re the One that I Want branded postcards and promotional items.
Grease: You’re the One that I Want is sure to create excitement and mass awareness in the streets of New York City during the run of the grassroots campaign amongst the target audience, women 35-54.
